Sunday saw our Under 13s take on Dewsbury Rangers Navy in the Heavy Woolen District Cup.
After a bright start playing some good football for 20 minutes it was Rangers who struck first with a free kick from the edge of the box which Joe had no chance with into the top of the net, the first half finished 1-0 with chances few and far between for the pinks with only a couple of shots in 35 minutes.
The second half started off end to end with chances for both teams and it wasn't until late on when Dewsbury added two more goals with their second from our mistake losing posession and their third with a deflected shot into the bottom corner.
There was still positive signs with the defence playing well for much of the game with Oisin winning 99% of his tackles on the day and plenty of the ball in midfield but it wasn't to be as a good Dewsbury side eased into the Quarter Final of the Cup.
The day ended with Harry C getting 13 big bumps for his Birthday!
Good Luck to Dewsbury for the next round and we look forward to training in preperation for top of the league next Sunday.
