Yorkshire Ammers Valencia visited Batley Grammer School today as our U12s played their first league game at our new ground.
It was a fast start for LS27 as Harry C was fouled in the box for a penalty which Remi tooled away for his second penalty in 2 games.
It was a fantastic forst half display from LS27 as they raced in a 3 goal lead with 2 more goals from Remi for his first hat-trick for his new club.
Ammers pulled one back with a good move and finish half way through the first half but Remi scored his best goal shortly after when he drove at goal taking on 3 players before firing home to restore the 3 goal lead.
A special mention has to go to the defence in the first half after a solid display from all in a new formation.
The second half had abit of everything, as LS27 "did a Leeds" and let a 3 goal lead slip away as Ammers scored 2 more to make it 4-3.
Late goals from both teams ending a thriller with LS27 coming out on top in a 9 goal thriller.
Harry C was unlucky not to get on the score sheet after a hard working performance that earned him Coaches Player of the match, with Remi picking up Parents and Oppositions player of the match award.
A solid team performance with everyone putting in a great offer sees the Pinks with their forst League win of the season.
Thanks to Ammers, always a pleasure and a great set of coaches and players.
