Our under 12s started the season on the wrong end of a close 3-2 defeat!
The pinks started well with some early pressure from the wings which forced an early corner, that resulting corner was pinged into the box and struck the arm of a jumping Woodkirk player, Remi stepped up and dispatched the penalty in to the top corner.
The rest of the half was end to end with both teams making mistakes and giving posession away, and it was Woodkirk who struck back shortly after to make it 1-1 at HT,
The second half started with with a flurry of attacks from the pinks and an excellent move down the left which was crossed into the box for Aiden to slot home to make it 2-1.
It was Woodkirk who finished the stronger though and 2 mistakes from the pinks gifted Woodwork with their second and third goals to take the points on day one of the season.
Although we lost the game there was still lots of positives to take into training this week as we look to bounce back next week against Yorkshire Ammers.
Player of the match went to Jacob who ran his socks off all game in the middle of the park.
Onto the next one.
