Today 27/2 the LS27 Under 11 Pinks travelled to Woodkirk Under 11 Oranges for thier game in the cup.
The home side started brightly putting our defence to the test to which we withstood the pressure but eventually Woodkirk made the break through with a tidy finish this was soon followed with with another for the home side.
Our lads heads did not drop though we applied pressure to the opposition with some excellent play down the wings with full backs making overlapping runs and lots of of battling in the midfield.
We soon made it count after the ball was played into the box thier defence struggled to clear and after a few ricochets the ball fell kindly for one of our players to finish.
Woodkirk then replied with another goal before half time. In the second half both sides had some decent chances to add to the score but with good defending and goalkeeping the scores stayed the same.
Later in the game a long ball played from the back found its way to our striker who nicely finished and this is how the game finished. Our lads should be very proud of thier performance today, lots of stand out moments.
