The pinks travelled away for their Cup game with Woodkirk. The lads started the game very brightly with Tyler seeing a lot of the ball and making some excellent runs. The pinks were then awarded a freekick, Tyler stepped up and hit a beautiful shot which was equalled by the Woodkirk keepers save. Against the run of play Woodkirk broke free and scored with a well taken goal. The pinks pressure continued with Tyler making a weaving run before finding Harry W whos shot went just wide of the post. George and Jack G managed to clean up at the back after a spell of pressure from the home side. Devonte then made an excellent run towards then played a accurate ball to Joel whos header went just wide. The pinks pressure was soon rewarded with Daniel getting on the score sheet after thier keeper spilled a shot. The pinks were having lots of efforts on goal with Tyler having two good attempts saved and Jack G and Joel shooting just wide. Again against the run of play Woodkirk broke away and scored. Harry made an excellent clearance when the home side look like they were in on goal. The pinks had a strong final 10 minutes with Joel, Tyler and Harry W all having efforts on goal and were soon rewarded again when Tyler made another excellent run before having his shot saved by the keeper but the ball fell nicely for Harry W who calmly put the ball in the net. Game 2

The pinks lined up for the second cup game against Woodkirk and from the first whistle they applied the pressure with Joe making two excellent runs having both his early strikes saved by the opposition keeper. Soon after the ball was deflected off a Woodkirk player and it looped over the home sides keeper to give the pinks the lead. Seth who had very little to do today kept his concentration to make a save from a well timed strike. Ezra just on as a sub got stuck straight in and made a good run down the wing having his pass blocked but he then ran back and won the ball again. Ethan and Jenson were a force at the back not giving any of their players time on the ball. Some very good passing between Jack L and Joe helped both of them have great efforts on goal both saved by thier busy keeper. Jack L soon got on the score sheet with his back to goal he received the ball at his feet and with a beautiful turn struck a well powered shot beating the keeper at his near post. Joe who seemed to be enjoying himself today made two more great runs having a shot saved and seeing his cross missed by everyone. Jack S on as a sub and originally playing at the back was moved onto the left wing and soon got himself a goal with nicely driven low shot giving the keeper no chance. Jenson seemed so calm on the ball today even under pressure he found space to clear/pass the ball out of defence. Harrison on as a sub come out firing with an excellent run before being tackled and having a shot saved late on. An excellent game to watch and a well deserved result. The lads found lots of space and were very composed in possession. Well done lads
