U10 Pinks Dual Team vs Leeds City Juniors

Under 10s Pinks - Game 1

The pinks welcomed Leeds City Juniors and with a bright start Joe opening the scoring early on with a well timed finish giving their goalkeeper no chance of saving. Tyler was full of energy made some excellent runs down the wing. A couple of goals from Leeds City Juniors followed but the lads heads did not drop however with Tyler forcing a good save from their goalkeeper and Jack L with an excellent bit of play to set up Tyler for a shot. Jenson and Ethan were full of energy and playing really well at the back. The lads picked up where they left off in the first half with lots of energy, Ezra forcing their keeper to make another good save. Jack L then picked up the ball just inside the opponents half and hit a wonder strike beating their keeper who was having a really good game. Jenson continued making some really good tackles. Jack S picked up the ball on the left side of the box but hit his shot just wide. Leeds City Juniors came back with a bit of good pressure forcing Seth to make a good save. Good strength by Ezra to win the ball back and play in Tyler who shot just wide. After a few efforts on target Ezra finally got his reward finding the back of the net. Close to the end the opponents scored. A very good display with lots of positives to take away from the result.

Under 10s Pinks - Game 2

The second game against Leeds City Juniors started brightly with a good break away by Henry forcing the keeper to make a good save. The opponents then had a spell of pressure with Leeds City juniors players testing Harry in goal followed by two good efforts from the opposition both going just wide. The pinks then applied the pressure and could be observed making good runs and communicating really well. Jack G was solid at the back getting stuck in and fighting to win every ball. The pinks gave away a freekick in a dangerous area and it was put away by Leeds City Juniors. Harry made another great save shortly after the restart. The pinks again applied the pressure with Jack G coming forward from the back and scoring. An excellent pass from Joel into the box put Henry in who hit his shot just wide this was soon followed by a strike by Joel which the opponents keeper spilled and it rolled over the line. A corner by Joey was headed just over by Joel and some awesome skill was observed by Daniel who nutmegged an opposing player who was applying pressure on him. The away side then scored with No10 finishing. Jack W then scored for the pinks with good finish at the near post. After some more good pressure and really good communication from the lads the ball made its way into the box and was eventually put away by Joel after a goal line tussle. Jack S and Kai made some well timed tackles towards the end and Harry made 2 important saves to keep the score how they were. A really good display from the lads with lots of calling for the ball and determination in winning the ball back.
