Under 10s visit Temple as new season kicks off

Game 1:

After going behind, the pinks finally got out of bed in the 2nd quarter, the cobwebs were shook off and they started to get into the game. A quick reply for the pinks through Sam A and Sam F, followed by goals for Dougie.. The pinks didn’t stop there and scored more again through Sam A and Sam F before Temple got a late consolation goal.

Some great play all around for a first game back. Battled hard and all won their individual battles.

Goals Sam A , Sam F, Dougie
MOM - Nathan G
Parents - no player got more than 1 vote so they all got it ? (sit on the fence much?)

Connor- made some vital saves at periods in the game to keep the score line safe
Brax- courage and brave in the tackle against some much bigger lads didn’t sway him from winning his duels
Nathan - won every tackle, every duel, played out from the back
Kobie - a threat with his tricks, linked play well and battled well
Joe - constant runner, up and down, box to box. Good job
Dougie- lightning quick, harassed and a threat, took his goals well. Must be his new boots ?
Sam A- linked play well, got forward and drove the team on. Brace.
Sam F- link up play and passed well, poacher finish for his first and a neat finish for his second.

Game 2:
A hard played out draw from the pinks against a very good Temple team in which saw both GKs make several saves to keep the scores level.
The pinks went behind down quickly before Jack pulled it back just before half time.
Little chances for both teams as they battled out a very good draw.

Goal - Jack
Coaches - Alfie
Parents - Pedro

Pedro- wonder save at the end to keep it level, good commanding figure in his box
Mikey- tackle and clear, didn’t get beat one on one. Well done.
Jack - scored the equaliser, grew into the game after a sleepy first 10 (no more sleep overs required)
Alfie- ran the show, up and down, unlucky not to score.
Jacob-lots of running and good feet to hold the play up
Jax- plenty of running in a higher position than normal, battled well.
Orran - a league debut and another who grew into game. Well done.
Byron- disciplined performance, you forget he plays a year up. Broke play down and defended well.
