We are delighted to announce that the club has achieved 2 star accreditation from the FA.

We are extreamely proud of the work we are doing in our community
- Steve Gaughan - Chairman

LS27 Football Club is absolutely delighted to announce that we have been given two-star status by the FA, and have entered the category of “Thriving Community Club”.

To get to a stage where this is possible, it goes back all the way to the founders of the club, through to the current coaches, committee members, parents, volunteers and of course, the kids themselves.

The recent news that Morley Bridge Street FC would be moving to play as LS27 FC Men’s First Team was the final piece to the jigsaw, allowing the club to have a full pathway from Under 4’s Mini Soccer all the way through to Open Age football.

Years and years of hard work from volunteers at the club has made this possible, and currently we have a strong and growing committee with new ideas and partnerships coming to the table on a regular basis. From marking pitches, to washing kits, fundraising events, countless admin tasks, spending far too long on the phone organising things with other volunteers, taking time away from family to benefit the wider community and the kids, it all has gone into this acknowledgement from the FA.

This is the start of a longer process to get the club reaping the benefits of the two-star accreditation, and this will become more evident as time goes on. It has opened up a much wider range of possibilities for us, which we are now working hard to implement as we move the club forwards.

Morley itself is a hotbed for junior football, with some already very well-established clubs around and LS27 FC continues to push towards a strong development pathway for a strong First Team in the future.

This is significant news for the club, who only celebrated its 10-year anniversary last year. We would like to thank everyone who’s been involved in this process from the very start, right up until the current group, it has been a monumental effort from so many people, and the momentum is with the club as we move forwards.
